Contract Dispute: Bayern Munich and Alphonso Davies in Conflict over Renewal

Alphonso Davies, the full-back for Bayern Munich, finds himself in a predicament as his agent, Nedal Huoseh, expresses disappointment with the club’s treatment.

Recognized globally as one of the top full-backs and among the greatest North American players ever, Davies’s talent is undisputed.

Huoseh, in remarks shared via football expert Fabrizio Romano and reported by BILD, criticized Bayern Munich for their handling of the situation.

According to The Athletic, Davies has informally agreed to move to Real Madrid either in the upcoming summer transfer window or the following one.

However, in recent weeks, Bayern Munich has been applying pressure on Davies and his representatives to extend his contract, set to expire on June 30, 2025.

As MARCA reports, the Bundesliga champions have given Davies an ultimatum: commit to them now or face a potential sale in the next transfer period.

Speaking to BILD, Davies’s agent Huoseh said, “It is unjust to be pushed into a corner by Bayern. We will evaluate our options at the conclusion of the season when the situation becomes clearer.

“Alphonso is unfairly being targeted now.

“Almost a year ago, we were on the verge of reaching an agreement. Then, the entire club leadership changed. Subsequently, we heard nothing for seven months, despite my efforts to reach out during that period.

“But now, we are suddenly given a two-week ultimatum because the club, after a significant delay in restructuring its management, is feeling the pressure. This is not right.

“This decision is crucial in Alphonso’s career, and we are being rushed into it without knowledge of who will be coaching next season or how the team will shape up. This is why we find the ultimatum unreasonable.”
