The question arose when Nigerian man Franklin Anyanwu asked if it’s appropriate for his elder brother to marry a 33-year-old lady whom he has been with since she was 19.
In response to the post, Joseph Mmaduabuchi Ezeh stated that God would punish the man if he did not marry the lady.
In contrast, Ikenna Duruji argued that not all relationships are meant for marriage.
“What’s the meaning of God punish him? If she’s not attractive and wife material, even if she shares her life with him…she should be sent to the streets,” he added.
