Condolences from Governor Bago to President Tinubu after the passing of Akeredolu

Niger State governor, Mohammed Umar Bago, expressed his condolences to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu following the death of Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu.

During a condolence visit to the President in Lagos State, Bago praised the late Akeredolu as a committed politician.

He emphasized the significant role Akeredolu played in advancing the All Progressives Congress, APC, and admired his determination to lead Ondo State effectively.

Addressing questions from journalists after the visit, Governor Bago discussed his administration’s preparations for farming, aiming to enhance rice, sesame, cotton, and maize cultivation to meet the demand from poultry farmers.

In response to the recent crisis in Plateau, Bago referred to the situation as regrettable and announced the North Central Governors Forum’s plan to visit their Plateau State counterpart for condolences.

He stressed the importance of open dialogue and strategic discussions to address such matters and ensure the voices of the people are heard.

Governor Bago was joined by stakeholders from the state, including former Minister of Sport Sani Ndanusa, former Deputy Governor Ahmed Ketso, Sen. Mustapha Sani, House of Representatives member for Bida/Gbako/Katcha federal constituency Saidu Musa Abdul, and Lado Suleja, during the visit.
