Clinton Morrison advises Pochettino to offload underperforming Chelsea players

Following Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat to Everton, former Premier League player Clinton Morrison has suggested that Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino should consider letting go of underperforming players from the team.

During Sunday’s Premier League match at Goodison Park, Chelsea suffered a loss, causing them to drop to 12th place in the league standings.

Particularly, players like Moises Caicedo, Marc Cucurella, Nicolas Jackson, Enzo Fernandez, and Conor Gallagher displayed poor performance.

The goals for Everton were scored by Abdoulaye Doucoure and Lewis Dobbin.

Morrison shared his observations on Sky Sports, stating, “There are six players ahead of the ball but no support in midfield to track back. Gallagher is easily bypassed by Dwight McNeil, and the ball gets to Dominic Calvert-Lewin.”

“Despite an outstanding save by Robert Sanchez, Abdoulaye Doucoure scores with a fantastic drilled shot into the bottom corner and the Chelsea players were nowhere near him. Pochettino has a big task ahead, with numerous players they need to offload.”
