Chuba Akpom set to leave Ajax for a move to the Premier League

With just eight months spent in the Eredivisie with Ajax, Chuba Akpom is eager to make a return to England.

The forward, originally from Nigeria, joined Ajax from Middlesbrough in the Sky Bet Championship last summer.

Ajax invested €14.3m in acquiring the services of the former Arsenal player.

According to reports from Sportswitness UK, Akpom is now eyeing a departure from Ajax in the upcoming summer transfer window, with interest from Fulham and Nottingham Forest being rumored.

During his time at Ajax, Akpom has started in just five matches, managing to score nine goals and provide one assist.

It is anticipated that more Premier League clubs will show interest in the striker as the season progresses.
