Chelsea Striker Transfers from Enzo Maresca’s Team

Breaking news – Mason Burstow, the Chelsea striker, has exited Enzo Maresca’s squad to sign with Hull City, a Championship team, on a full-time basis.

In an announcement posted on their official website on Friday, Chelsea confirmed the departure, just before their upcoming Premier League showdown against Manchester City this Sunday.

According to Chelsea’s official statement, “Mason Burstow’s move to Hull City on a permanent basis has been finalized.”

The club wished Burstow well as he embarks on the next phase of his football career and expressed gratitude for his contributions during his tenure at Chelsea.

Having joined Chelsea from Charlton Athletic in January 2022, Burstow, aged 21, spent the rest of the season on loan with the Addicks in League One.

Burstow featured in Chelsea’s first-team squad during Maresca’s leadership for their pre-season tour in the USA. He notably scored against Bundesliga team Borussia Dortmund and made his senior debut against West Ham United in August 2023.
