Chelsea Player Gallagher Excluded from Dressing Room: Maresca Breaks Silence

Enzo Maresca, the manager of Chelsea, has finally broken his silence regarding the exclusion of Conor Gallagher from training sessions.

Gallagher’s future at Stamford Bridge seems uncertain following the club’s agreement on a £34 million deal with Atletico Madrid.

Although the English midfielder has the freedom to negotiate with LaLiga’s Atletico Madrid, he has shown hesitance to do so.

Reports suggest that Chelsea is actively pushing to move out the 24-year-old player.

Gallagher has been made aware that his playing time under the new manager Maresca might be limited due to the Italian’s preference for possession-based strategies.

According to The Sun, Chelsea’s leadership has decided to exclude Gallagher from the main training sessions after he turned down two contract extension offers.

From the USA pre-season tour, Maresca commented: “All I can say is that he has been in discussions with the club to work out a resolution. This isn’t an uncommon occurrence in football.”

He further added, “Every summer, clubs face challenges with certain players, but eventually, solutions are found, and everyone is satisfied. Hopefully, we can reach a positive outcome in this case as well.”
