Separate negotiations are in the works for Victor Osimhen and Romelu Lukaku, with Chelsea taking the lead.
Chelsea’s strategy involves selling Lukaku to Napoli and also potentially acquiring Osimhen from the Serie A team.
Initial attempts at discussing a swap deal between the two strikers have not progressed significantly.
Reportedly, Chelsea intends to pursue individual transfers for the two players, according to insights from Fabrizio Romano.
Romano shared on X: “Chelsea now views Romelu Lukaku and Victor Osimhen as distinct transfer deals.”
“There are no swap negotiations; Chelsea is now focusing on finalizing Lukaku’s permanent move,” he added.
“Napoli has agreed on personal terms, and discussions with Chelsea are centered on a permanent transfer only.”
