Chelsea Keeps No. 9 Shirt Vacant Amid Links to Osimhen

Throughout this summer, Chelsea has chosen to leave the No. 9 shirt empty amidst speculation about Victor Osimhen.

Confirming new shirt numbers for certain players, the Premier League club assigned new numbers for incoming transfers.

Amid transfer rumors, Raheem Sterling, who is reportedly considering a move, had his No. 7 jersey reassigned to new signing Pedro Neto.

Another addition to the squad, Joao Felix, was allocated the No. 14 shirt, formerly worn by Trevor Chalobah.

Interestingly, the No. 9 shirt remains unassigned within the current squad.

It is worth noting that the Chelsea squad numbers are subject to change until the transfer window closes at the end of August.

Striving to bolster their attacking options, Chelsea’s pursuit of Atletico Madrid’s Samu Omorodion was unsuccessful.

Currently, negotiations are underway in an attempt to secure the services of Osimhen from Napoli, with reports indicating the player’s reluctance for a loan deal without a purchase option and his insistence on maintaining salary demands.
