Chelsea Interested in Osimhen again as Napoli Striker Requests Transfer

Reports suggest Chelsea are considering making a move for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen following his recent transfer request, as reported by The Evening Standard.

Earlier, Chelsea were close to finalizing a €40 million deal for Atletico Madrid’s Samu Omorodion, but the agreement fell through.

Osimhen, with a €130 million release clause in his contract, is keen on leaving Italy during this transfer window.

Previous discussions between Chelsea and Napoli involved a potential exchange deal involving Romelu Lukaku.

Napoli would be open to Osimhen’s departure, but they are adamant on receiving an offer near his release clause figure.

Confirming Osimhen’s desire to leave, Napoli’s sporting director Giovanni Manna stated, “Victor Osimhen has expressed his wish to depart from the club. He is determined to move on.

“The situation is transparent, with previous opportunities for his exit last year. Victor is set on leaving. We will monitor the situation over the next 20 days.”
