Charly Boy’s Warning to Nigerians: Peter Obi vs Kenneth Okonkwo

Addressing the public, maverick entertainer Charles Oputa, also known as Charly Boy, advised against directing negative comments towards the former Labour Party member Kenneth Okonkwo. Okonkwo recently criticized the party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Over the weekend, Okonkwo, who previously served as the spokesperson for the Labour Party’s presidential campaign in the 2023 general election, announced his departure from the party and the Obidient movement.

In a social media post sharing his decision, Okonkwo placed much of the blame on Obi’s management of the party’s internal crisis.

In response, Obi clarified that Okonkwo was not a saboteur within the Labour Party, despite his critical remarks.

Reflecting on the situation, Charly Boy emphasized that having a differing opinion from a former presidential candidate should not label Okonkwo as an adversary.

Expressing his thoughts, Charly Boy shared, “PO has a remarkable ability to turn significant energy and time spent on senseless attacks against him into a futile effort.”

He continued, “Disagreements and diverse opinions are integral to any group, society, or movement. It is crucial to maintain respect and civility even amidst disagreements.”

“Having varied viewpoints does not equate to enmity. Engaging in constructive discussions is vital rather than resorting to personal attacks or negative criticisms.”

“Personally, I don’t seek collaboration with those who always share my perspective. As a leader, the ability to learn and listen is crucial. I am inclined to listen to individuals with differing opinions, persuade them otherwise, or embrace their advice if it holds merit.”
