An adjustment has been made by the Oyo State government, under the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board, to the timetable for teachers’ recruitment interviews.
The interview session, which was initially set for Tuesday, August 20, 2024, has been moved to August 26, 2024. This change was made to avoid a clash with Isese Day, a public holiday in Oyo State that celebrates the indigenous Yoruba culture and traditions, focusing on preserving the Yoruba heritage.
Isese Day, observed every August 20, holds great cultural significance, especially for followers of the Yoruba traditional religion.
To accommodate this cultural celebration, Dr. Nureni Adeniran, the Executive Chairman of SUBEB, promptly rescheduled the interview date to Monday, August 26, 2024.
In an official statement issued on Tuesday, Adeniran highlighted the importance of honoring cultural practices and ensuring equal opportunities for all candidates in the final recruitment stage.
He confirmed that the affected LGAs, initially slated for interviews on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, have now been rescheduled to Monday, August 26, 2024. These LGAs include Saki West, Saki East, Irepo, Oriire, Olorunsogo, Orelope, Ogbomoso North, and Ogbomoso South.
Adeniran also stressed the need for strict adherence to the updated timetable and expressed satisfaction with the positive reception from stakeholders, acknowledging the sensitivity and responsiveness shown by educational authorities.

Wednesday, August 14, 2024: Egbeda and Atisbo
Thursday, August 15, 2024: Akinyele, Afijio, and Ibarapa Central Local Government Areas.
Friday, August 16, 2024: Iseyin, Itesiwaju, Kajola, Ibarapa East, Ibarapa North, Lagelu, and Iwajowa.
Monday, August 19, 2024: Ido and Ibadan South West Local Government Areas.
Wednesday, August 21, 2024: Atiba, Oyo East, Oyo West, Surulere, and Ogo-Oluwa.
Thursday, August 22, 2024: Ibadan South-East, Ibadan North, Ibadan North-East, Ibadan North-West.
Friday, August 23, 2024: Oluyole and Ona Ara Local Government Areas.
Monday, August 26, 2024: Saki West, Saki East, Irepo, Oriire, Olorunsogo, Orelope, Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South.
