Chadian Referee Assigned by CAF to Officiate Nigeria vs South Africa in 2026 WCQ

For the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifying match between Nigeria and South Africa, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has selected Alhadi Allaou Mahamat from Chad to serve as the official referee.

The match is scheduled to take place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday, June 7.

With experience in officiating matches in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup, the 38-year-old Mahamat also participated in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations held in Cote d’Ivoire.

Assisting Mahamat will be Mohammed Ibrahim Abdallah from Sudan as the first assistant referee, Abelmiro Dos Reis Monte Negro from Sao Tome & Principe as the second assistant referee, and Pousri Armi Alfred from Chad as the fourth official.

The role of referee assessor will be fulfilled by Ahmed Sayed Abou Elela from Egypt, while Ghanaian Munkaila Nassam Adam will act as the commissioner for the matchday three clash.
