Catholic church may bar Father Mbaka from preaching – Archbishop Adewale Martins

The Archbishop of Lagos, Adewale Martins, has disclosed that there is a possibility of barring Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka from preaching due to his consistent violation of Catholic Church doctrines.

Martins made this statement while addressing the prophecy by the Spiritual Director of Enugu-based Adoration Ministry regarding Hope Uzodinma’s victory in the 2019 Imo State governorship election, which was declared by the Supreme Court.

In an interview with BBC Igbo, Martins expressed his concern for the Bishop of Enugu Diocese, who is tasked with the responsibility of cautioning Father Mbaka and dealing with the recurring issue. He acknowledged that the situation might be causing some challenges and expressed hope that it would be resolved.

The Archbishop highlighted the possibility of imposing sanctions, including prohibiting public ministry, if the matter is not addressed. He also emphasized the non-partisan stance of the Catholic Church in political matters and stressed the need for individuals with the gift of prophecy to align their messages with biblical teachings and the church’s authority.
