The Approval Rating of President Tinubu Decreases in the Second Month Amid Growing Concerns About the Economy, as Per Survey
The latest survey by the Governance Advancement Initiative for Nigeria (GAIN) indicates a notable decline in the approval rating of President Bola Tinubu, dropping from 45 percent to 35 percent in the second month of his administration.
The survey, conducted from July 29 to August 6, 2023, aimed at tracking the sentiments of Nigerian citizens regarding the initiatives and policies of the Tinubu administration. According to Dr Malcolm Fabiyi, who coordinates GAIN, the survey targeted Nigerians of voting age and received over 540 responses. The respondents provided a margin of error of ±4.2% at a 95% confidence level.
