CAN President Urges Unity and Peace During Eid-el-Kabir Celebration

Encouraging unity and peace, the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Archbishop Daniel Okoh, has called on Muslim faithful to embrace these values during the Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

In a statement on Sunday, Archbishop Okoh extended felicitations to Muslims on the occasion, stressing the importance of unity and collaboration for the advancement of Nigeria.

He urged citizens to put aside their differences and rally behind the common goals of unity and peace, while also seeking divine intervention in the country’s security, economic, and political challenges.

“The Eid-el-Kabir festival, which signifies sacrifice, obedience, and faith, should serve as a guide for all Nigerians in our daily lives. Let’s put our disparities aside and respond to the call for unity and peace,” he remarked.

“Our nation is in need of God’s mercy, peace, and togetherness. Let’s come together in love, pardon, and harmony. Let’s implore divine assistance in addressing our security, economic, and political issues.

“May God strengthen and console the displaced, the grieving, and the distressed. Together, let’s strive towards a prosperous Nigeria where every citizen can flourish, irrespective of their background. Our diversity is our asset, and through unity, we can conquer any challenge,” he added.

“Let’s embrace forgiveness, love, and tranquility. May God shower blessings upon Nigeria and grant us peace, harmony, and success,” he concluded.
