Buhari’s Visit to Kuje Prison Following Suspected Boko Haram Attack (See Photos)

President Muhammadu Buhari made a visit to Kuje prison in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in response to an attack that led to the escape of inmates from the facility.

 

It was reported that around 600 inmates fled the correctional facility after a suspected Boko Haram attack, as announced by the ministry of interior.

During the visit, Buhari was accompanied by Usman Baba, the inspector-general of police (IGP), and Haliru Nababa, comptroller-general of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS).
