The approval for the upgrade of Aso Rock zoo has been given by President Buhari. The Presidential Wildlife Sanctuary (PWLS) will be remodeled and upgraded to enhance conservation practices in the country. This announcement was made by Permanent Secretary, State House, Tijjani Umar, during a visit from wildlife experts from Zimbabwe. The experts are currently conducting an assessment tour of the PWLS, previously referred to as the State House zoo. During the meeting, Umar highlighted the significance of protecting the wildlife at the seat of government for recreational purposes, rehabilitation, research, and knowledge sharing. The unveiling of these updates will mark an important step in the development of the conservation efforts within the country.
