Breaking Silence: Nigerian Footballer Olanrewaju Kayode Speaks Out Amid Paternity Scandal

Addressing recent rumors regarding the paternity of his children, Nigerian footballer Kayode Olanrewaju has come forward.

Media reports had raised questions about whether Kayode is the biological father of the three children he shares with his estranged wife, Dora Ezinne.

Responding decisively to the controversy, Kayode’s legal team, Alexime Law Associates, issued a statement in Lagos highlighting the potential emotional distress and reputational harm caused by the allegations.

On May 26, 2024, Kayode’s attorneys released a comprehensive response, demanding that media platforms disclose their sources to address the baseless claims.

They argued that the unfounded allegations were part of a deliberate effort to damage Kayode’s character and disrupt his family life, potentially orchestrated by Dora to divert attention from her own alleged misconduct.

Specifically calling out Dr. Ruth Emosiluamhe Agbukor, who had tweeted about DNA test results suggesting none of Kayode’s children with Dora were biologically his, Kayode’s legal team demanded that she reveal her information source, retract the false story, and delete the tweet.

Warning of potential legal action for libel and violations under the Cybercrime (Prohibition and Prevention) Act, Kayode’s legal team emphasized the seriousness of the situation.

This controversy is a part of the ongoing conflicts between Kayode and Dora, which involve various allegations including forgery, theft of high-value assets, infidelity, and financial misconduct.

Since March 24, 2024, Kayode’s legal team claimed that Dora has disappeared with their children to an undisclosed location in Abuja and attempted to leave the country with illegally obtained passports, which was reportedly foiled by the Directorate of State Security Service (DSS) in April.

Accused of conspiring to misappropriate Kayode’s assets as part of a larger financial scheme, Dora’s actions have further complicated the situation.

Kayode’s legal team clarified that their client will not publicly deny the DNA report, as it could imply involvement in spreading rumors. Instead, they are focused on uncovering the true sources of the allegations to support Kayode’s case and restore his reputation, collaborating with intelligence operatives in the process.

“Our commitment is to identify the source of this story as part of a wider effort to shift focus from the issues of fraud and misconduct allegedly involving Dora,” the legal team concluded.
