Major Development: UNN Takes Action Against Lecturer Involved in Sex Scandal Video

An incident involving Mr. Mfonobong David Udoudom, a lecturer in the General Studies department at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), has led to his suspension. A video circulating online allegedly shows the lecturer engaging in inappropriate behavior with a female student.

Reports indicate that the lecturer was caught in a compromising situation on Monday, allegedly soliciting sexual favors from a student in exchange for favorable academic treatment.

In an official statement released on Tuesday by Okwun Omeaku, Acting Public Relations Officer of UNN, the university reaffirmed its strict stance against any form of sexual misconduct within its premises.

The statement made it clear that Mr. Udoudom has been suspended indefinitely with immediate effect pending the conclusion of a disciplinary inquiry set up by the university to look into the matter.

Emphasizing the institution’s commitment to upholding ethical standards, the statement highlighted UNN’s proactive Sexual Harassment Policy, designed to foster a respectful environment among staff and students.

The university management expressed its dedication to safeguarding students from all forms of abuse and exploitation, asserting that if found guilty by the disciplinary panel, Mr. Mfonobong David Udoudom will face the consequences as per the university’s regulations.
