Breaking News: DaBaby Released from Jail Following Battery Charge

Rapper DaBaby, known as Jonathan Kirk, has been released from jail after a warrant for his arrest was withdrawn. The Grammy-nominated artist was taken into custody on charges of battery in Miami, following a dispute with a music promoter over performance payment.

Following his arrest, it was discovered that there was an additional warrant for his arrest in Texas, also related to a battery charge.

The altercation occurred at Novotel Miami Brickell, where Kirk was staying. According to the arrest report, he confronted the music promoter who had arranged for him to perform at Cafe Iguana in Pembroke Pines. The promoter alleged that he had given Kirk $30,000, but the rapper claimed it was $10,000 short, leading to a heated argument. Kirk then reportedly punched a man accompanying the promoter, and the promoter stated that one of Kirk’s associates took his cellphone, bank card, and $80 in cash.

Authorities have confirmed that the warrant from Texas has been withdrawn, and DaBaby was released on Saturday, January 4, 2020.
