At the 2020 Screen Actors Guild Awards held at Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, Hollywood actors Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston, who were once married, shared a heartwarming moment as they congratulated each other for winning awards.
The couple, who ended their marriage in 2005 due to Pitt’s affair with co-star Angelina Jolie, were captured hugging and smiling at each other backstage.
Pitt received the award for best supporting actor for his role in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon A Time in Hollywood, while Aniston won the award for her performance in The Morning Show.
When the two met backstage, they were seen embracing and smiling at each other. In one of the photos, Aniston, aged 50, was gently placing her hand on Pitt’s chest as he held her arm before they parted ways.
During his acceptance speech, Pitt humorously mentioned his single status. Holding the statue, the actor jokingly said, ‘I have to add this to my Tinder profile.’
‘Thank you, my brothers, my sisters. This means so much. More than I can possibly fathom. I want you to know I watch everything. I watch you all, and the work has been mesmerizing. So I thank you.’
‘I want to thank my co-stars, Leo [DiCaprio], Margot Robbie, Margot Robbie’s feet,’ Pitt added.
Moments later, Aniston received her own statue, winning the award for best actress in a drama. Pitt was captured watching his ex-wife on a television screen backstage as she delivered her acceptance speech.
Aniston and Pitt were married for five years before their separation, after which Pitt began a relationship with Jolie. In 2014, Pitt, now 54, and Jolie, 44, tied the knot, but surprised the world with their divorce announcement in 2016, which was finalized in 2019.
