Blackout Scheduled in Kogi by TCN on Thursday

The anticipated temporary loss of electricity supply in Lokoja and surrounding areas of Kogi State has been officially confirmed by the Transmission Company of Nigeria to occur on Thursday.

In a statement released on Wednesday by Ndidi Mbah, the general manager of Public Affairs at TCN, the upcoming blackout was announced.

The reason cited for this disruption is TCN’s essential maintenance work on the 60 megavolt-amperes transformers and switchgear at the Lokoja 330/132/33-kilovolt Transmission Substation in Kogi State.

TCN has clarified that the duration of the blackout is expected to be from 10 am to 4 pm.

During this time frame, Abuja DisCo will be unable to take bulk power supply from the transformer to cater to its customers in Lokoja Town, CBN, Koton Karfe, and the nearby areas.

TCN assured that power supply will promptly resume after the completion of the maintenance work.
