‘Blackface to Nigerian youths: Protest peacefully, avoid property destruction’

In light of the ongoing nationwide protests, veteran dancehall singer Augustine Ahmedu Obiabo, famously known as Blackface, has urged Nigerian youths to maintain peaceful conduct.

Blackface acknowledged the challenges Nigerians are facing, supporting the justification for the protests. Nonetheless, he emphasized the importance of the protesters’ safety, highlighting the value of their lives.

Addressing the demonstrators, the singer of ‘Hard Life’ cautioned against any acts of property destruction or vandalism.

On his social media platform, Blackface posted, “Dear fellow citizens, I understand the hardships we are enduring, and it is clear that we deserve better from our self-enriching political leaders, leaving us with minimal resources to survive!

“During your protests, prioritize your safety as your lives matter. Avoid causing harm to others’ properties.”
