Bill Cosby Sends a Message to Snoop Dogg from Prison, Thanking Him for His Post Criticizing Gayle King and Oprah Winfrey

Bill Cosby expressed his gratitude to Snoop Dogg for speaking out against Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King, accusing them of damaging the image and legacy of Black men.

From his prison cell, the embattled comedian asserted that Black women are being manipulated to tarnish the legacy of Black men. He extended his appreciation to Snoop Dogg for including “Free Bill Cosby” at the end of his post addressing Oprah Winfrey and Gayle King.

Snoop Dogg’s post followed the controversial CBS morning interview between Gayle King and WNBA legend Lisa Leslie. The rapper criticized King, citing her association with Harvey Weinstein and her handling of questions about Kobe Bryant’s legacy and the 2003 rape accusation against him.

Addressing the backlash from his incarceration, Cosby, who is serving a 3-10 year sentence for sexual assault, raised concerns about Oprah and Gayle’s selective interviews, implicating Black men while neglecting similar allegations against their White associates.

In his message to Snoop, Cosby emphasized, “It’s so sad and disappointing that successful Black Women are being used to tarnish the image and legacy of successful Black Men, even in death. Are these people that in need of fame, ratings and/or money? On behalf of myself, Camille and my family, thank you, thank you and thank you. My heartfelt prayers are with Kobe and his family, as well as with Michael Jackson and his family. May their legacies live on forever.”

He concluded with the hashtags:
