Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu Criticizes Late Husband’s Niece for Supporting Aiyedatiwa in Ondo State Governor Election

In a recent development, Betty Anyanwu-Akeredolu, the wife of the late Ondo State Governor, expressed her disapproval of her late husband’s niece, Funke Akeredolu Aruna, for endorsing the current governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, ahead of the upcoming governorship election in the state.

Betty conveyed her sentiments through a post on her Instagram account earlier today.

Lucky Aiyedatiwa, who previously served as Akeredolu’s deputy, assumed office on 27th December after the passing of his former boss.

Prior to the governor’s demise, internal conflicts strained his relationship with Aiyedatiwa, with allegations of disloyalty towards the former deputy governor, resulting in the dissolution of his staff.

The State Assembly, with the governor’s support, made efforts to impeach Aiyedatiwa, although the specifics of their disagreement remained unclear until Akeredolu’s death.

Accompanied by a photo of her husband’s niece donning a cap emblazoned with the words “I am lucky,” Betty captioned the post, “Behold the face of Aketi’s niece, Funke Akeredolu Aruna, the former deputy chief protocol to Aketi, shamelessly parading as ‘I am lucky’ Bloody serpent! Time will tell if she is truly lucky!”

This reaction has sparked considerable controversy on social media, as many believe she should be mourning her husband rather than engaging in conflicts with others.

Some have urged her to maintain composure regarding matters related to the election.
