Bayelsa Assembly approves N2.9bn car loan for Governor Duoye Diri

The approval for a N2.9 billion car loan for Governor Duoye Diri by the Bayelsa State House of Assembly has been granted. The loan is intended for purchasing operational vehicles for the governor, deputy governor, and other high-ranking government officials.

It was reported by Sunnewsonline that the loan was granted upon the motion moved by the immediate past speaker, Monday Bubou-Obolo. The loan, which has a repayment tenure of 36 months, received unanimous support from the lawmakers before being approved.

This development comes shortly after the Supreme Court upheld a court judgment that removed David Lyon of the All Progressives Congress as the governor of the state.
