The governor of Bauchi state is currently in self-isolation as a precautionary measure after coming into contact with the son of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, who has been diagnosed with the novel Coronavirus.
Ladan Salihu, the Chief of Staff to the governor, announced this development on his Twitter account.
He stated:
“Our Governor Bala Mohammed is in self-isolation following contact with Atiku Abubakar’s Son. Yes. We were on the same flight from Lagos to Abuja. They shook hands and exchanged pleasantries. The gov and the rest of us have taken tests. The results will be negative Insha Allah.”
