Bauchi State Government Implements 24-Hour Curfew in Katagum LG

Announced on Monday, the Bauchi State Government has decided to enforce a 24-hour curfew in the Katagum Local Government Area due to the escalating security concerns.

This directive was relayed to the press by the Secretary to the State Government, Ibrahim Kashim.

In the statement, it was clarified that the worsening security issues in Azare and its vicinity in Katagum Local Government Area, which resulted in public property destruction, theft, victimization, among other crimes, necessitated the curfew as approved by His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State.

The measure was introduced to manage the situation in the region.

Kashim additionally highlighted that the governor had instructed all security forces to intervene and apprehend the troublemakers responsible for these acts.

Furthermore, he urged the law-abiding populace to assist the security agencies during this challenging period.
