Barcelona Claims First Spanish Supercopa Femenina Title with a 10-1 Victory Over Real Sociedad

Asisat Oshoala, captain of the Super Falcons of Nigeria, netted twice as Barcelona triumphed in a 10-1 victory over Real Sociedad to clinch their first-ever Spanish Supercopa Femenina title on Sunday.

Barcelona took a commanding lead in the first half, with goals from Marta Torrejón, Alexia, Marta Torrejón, Asisat Oshoala, and Graham.

 

The 2019 African Women’s Player notched two goals and provided an assist for Alexia Putellas’ goal, which beat Real Sociedad’s goalkeeper Mariasun Quiñones.

Real Sociedad’s woes continued in the second half as Oshoala found the net again, putting the ball past the goalkeeper from an Alexia pass, capping off a breakaway move.

 

Barcelona now holds the 2019 Supercoppa Femenina title.
