Former Akwa United coach, Deji Ayeni has joined the race for the vacant Kano Pillars technical adviser position.
The position became vacant following Abdullahi Maikaba’s resignation towards the end of last season.
Ahmed Garba Yaro Yaro tinkered with the team on an interim basis for the remainder of the season.
NewsNow had earlier reported that former Katsina United coach Usman Abdullahi is among the tacticians in the running for the position.
Ayeni was last in charge of former Nigeria Premier Football League champions, Akwa United.
The new technical adviser is expected to be announced before the start of the 2024-25 NPFL season.
