Insurance company, Axa Mansard and Slot Systems Limited have partnered on a product that provides insurance coverage of up to N50,000 for customers if their smartphones’ screens get damaged.
The product was launched at the head office of Axa Mansard on Tuesday.
At the launch, the Country Manager, Axa Mansard, Rashidat Adebisi, said that the partnership with Slot had become imperative given the economic situation in the country and the firm’s desire to make life easier for their customers.
“We decided to launch this product to ensure that Nigerians are connected. The downside of an unexpected and unforeseen situation; when you cannot connect to your family and friends, to your money or the source of your money, I’m sure you know it will be a source of problem, can best be imagined.
“So this is a very novel initiative for us to ensure that our customers do not bear the entire financial burden should their phone screens get damaged,” she said.
The Chief Executive Officer of Slot Systems Limited, Nnamdi Ezeigbo, added, “This for us is a dream come true in terms of achieving part of our plans for 2024. As a customer-centric brand, what you are seeing today is a testament to their focus.”

According to Ezeigbo, what makes this partnership very important is that it reduces the cost of repairing or replacing your phone screen.
“You are aware that the cost of phone screens is going up. We have come up with this formula basically to help reduce the cost associated with replacing a screen. With the N2,500 premium, you can get a discount of N50,000. For me, this is very significant,” he explained.
