Taiwo Awoniyi will not participate in Nottingham Forest’s Premier League encounter against Arsenal on Saturday, as stated by manager, Steve Cooper.
The Nigeria international recently resumed practice after recuperating from an ankle injury.
Cooper, during his interaction with the media before his team’s journey to the Emirates Stadium, confirmed that Awoniyi will not be part of his squad for the match.
“Felipe, undoubtedly. Moussa is just about regaining fitness, and so is Taiwo, so the match probably comes too early for them,” the Welsh tactician was quoted by NottinghamshireLive.
Awoniyi was the top scorer for the club in the Premier League last season with 10 goals.
However, his national teammates, Ola Aina and Emmanuel Dennis, are available for the match.
