Ahead of the crucial match against Japan on Wednesday, Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala has inspired her teammates to step up their game.
In their final group stage encounter at the Stade de la Beaujoire, Nantes, Randy Waldrum’s squad will face off against the Nadeshiko.
Having suffered defeats in their first two matches against Brazil and Spain, the Super Falcons must secure a victory over the Asian champions to keep their hopes alive for a spot in the quarter-finals.
Oshoala emphasized the importance of giving their best to achieve a positive outcome against Japan.
“Our focus is on the match against Japan. We need to put everything into it and maximize our chances as we still have a shot at qualification. We need to remain hopeful,” stated the Bay FC forward in preparation for the game.
The game is scheduled to commence at 4pm Nigeria time.
