Arteta Makes Offer of €50m Plus One Arsenal Player for Ademola Lookman Transfer

Reports suggest that Arsenal has entered the competition to acquire Ademola Lookman from Atalanta.

As per Football Italia, the Gunners are willing to offer €50m and include Jakub Kiwior as a part of the potential deal.

Lookman has been linked with Paris Saint-Germain lately, although the interest from the Ligue 1 champions seems to have diminished.

The Super Eagles winger featured against Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup last Wednesday but requested to sit out of Atalanta’s Serie A opener against Lecce on Monday.

He was absent from training on Wednesday as well. Sport Italia’s transfer expert, Alfredo Pedullà, suggests this absence is due to Lookman’s unwillingness to participate.

According to the report, Arsenal has tabled a bid amounting to €50m with additional bonuses. It is also possible that Kiwior could be part of the deal to help reduce the fee, perhaps through a loan deal with a purchase option.

Atalanta remains keen on retaining the 26-year-old and is willing to double his current salary, considering his impressive tally of 17 goals and 10 assists from 45 matches last season.
