Upon their request to be repatriated home after being stranded in the United Kingdom due to the COVID-19 lockdown, a group of Nigerians has arrived in Nigeria.
The chartered flight that transported them landed at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos at approximately 1.40pm on Friday afternoon, May 8. The returnees are scheduled to be airlifted to Abuja for a mandatory 14-day supervised quarantine.
Earlier in the week, 256 Nigerians stranded in the United Arab Emirates were also evacuated and are currently undergoing quarantine at an isolation center in Lagos.
