Arrest of Three Nigerian Nationals for Heroin Possession in India

Authorities in Haryana, India, have apprehended three Nigerian nationals in Delhi and confiscated 2.4 kilograms of heroin valued at crores of rupees from their possession.

 

A spokesperson for the Haryana Police has identified the individuals as Alor Chukwudi Henary, Emmuel, and Nicholas Chidebere Paul, who are residing in Delhi.

“The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) was responsible for busting these drug peddlers. The preliminary investigation revealed that Emmuel was residing in India illegally, as he was unable to produce any documents related to passport or visa. Additionally, the visa belonging to Nicholas had expired on April 3, 2020,” stated the spokesperson.

 

All three Nigerian nationals were allegedly caught supplying heroin during the investigation of a case filed on March 30 at Tauru Police Station, where Rafeeq and Mubariq were arrested and charged under the NDPS Act.

 

Earlier in the investigation, the police apprehended a middleman named Sonu from Palwal, who disclosed the identities of the Nigerian nationals involved in heroin supply.

 

Based on Sonu’s information, the police were able to arrest the three Nigerians and reportedly seized 991 grams of heroin from Alor, 982 grams of heroin from Emmuel, and 427 grams of heroin from Nicholas.

 

The Nigerians have been charged under the relevant provisions of the NDPS Act.
