Confirming the arrest, the Jigawa state police command stated that a 35-year-old Abdullahi Usman, a national of Niger Republic, has been apprehended on charges of armed robbery and the killing of a Nigerian in Babura local government.

According to SP Abdu Jinjiri, the state’s police spokesperson, the suspect was part of a group of armed men totaling about nine, who raided Andau village (located within the Nigeria/Niger land border).
