Approval by Tinubu for the Establishment of Youth Affairs Secretariat in Abuja

President Bola Tinubu has given his consent for the creation of a mandate secretariat dedicated to youth affairs in Abuja, as confirmed by the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike.

Wike disclosed this news during an interactive session with stakeholders in the Bwari area council on Monday.

Addressing the gathering, Wike urged residents to refrain from the planned nationwide protests scheduled for August 1 and 10.

A similar engagement took place with the residents of Gwagwalada, Kuje, Kwali, Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), and Abaji, where Wike encouraged the community, especially the youth, not to engage in the #EndBadGovernance protests.

Expressing his appreciation for Tinubu’s support for Nigerian youth, Wike stated, “During my discussion with the people of AMAC on Saturday, they requested the establishment of a youth secretariat, and I was confident that Mr. President would approve it when I met him.”

He further added, “Yesterday in Kwali, I reiterated my sentiments. Today, I bring you great news. Following my meeting with the president last night, he has given the green light for the establishment of a secretariat focusing on youth affairs.”
