Appointment of TETFund Board Members by Tinubu

Former Governor of Katsina State, Aminu Masari, has been appointed as the chairman of the Board of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund by President Bola Tinubu.

An announcement was made by Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, in a statement released in Abuja titled, ‘President Tinubu appoints new board of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund.’

Joining the board as appointed members are Senator Sani Danladi, Sunday Adepoju, Nurudeen Adeyemi, Esther Ukachukwu, Turaki Ibrahim, and Aboh Eduyok.

According to the statement, “The President expects the new members of the board of this pivotal institutional vehicle to be dedicated and committed to driving TETFund’s objective of providing the needed support for tertiary education with a view to enhancing the productivity and quality of higher education.”

Masari previously served as the placeholder vice presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress leading up to the 2023 general election before Senator Kashim Shettima was eventually nominated as Tinubu’s running mate.
