Appointment of King Igbugburu as Second Chancellor of Federal University Dutse

Recently, King W.S. Joshua, Igbugburu X, the Ebenanawei of Bomo Kingdom, was officially designated as the second chancellor of the Federal University, Dutse.

During the joint 6th and 7th convocation ceremony of the institution, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Abdulkareem Sabo Muhammad, made this announcement.

The installment of the new chancellor was a significant part of the combined convocation events.

Prof Muhammad disclosed that a total of 2872 students successfully completed their degree programs and are now eligible for graduation from the university.

Furthermore, the university has produced two Ph.D. graduates, 47 M.Sc. graduates, 376 Master’s degree holders, and 189 Postgraduate Diploma recipients.

Among the graduates, 74 students achieved first-class degrees, while 836 graduated with second-class upper degrees.

The Vice-Chancellor extended his congratulations to the students and encouraged them to steer clear of drug abuse and represent the university positively.

In his remarks, King W.S. Joshua expressed his gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for the appointment and pledged his full support to the university.

He affirmed his readiness to assist the university’s leadership and the entire university community.
