Appointment of Governor Bassey Otu as Chairman of APC Reconciliation Committee

Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State has been appointed by the leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, to chair its reconciliation committee. The announcement of his appointment was made during the early hours of Monday following a communiqué from the South South zonal conference that took place in Calabar on Sunday.

The communiqué stated the establishment of a reconciliation committee in the South-South region, with Governor Bassey Otu from Cross River State as the chairman. The committee aims to bridge any existing gaps, promote collaboration, and work together towards the common goal of enhancing the party’s presence and influence in the region.

During the conference, a resolution was made to reaffirm unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration policies and programs, which focus on promoting good governance, economic reforms, national security, and infrastructural development. Additionally, there was a commitment to mobilize party resources effectively, particularly in the upcoming governorship election in Edo State, to demonstrate the party’s determination to secure victories in more states.
