Appeal to Youth: Dickson Encourages Nonviolent Expression

Sentator Seriake Dickson, the former Governor of Bayelsa State, has called on the youth in the Niger Delta region to avoid resorting to violence as they prepare for the upcoming nationwide protest.

In his message, Dickson emphasized that grievances can be voiced without causing harm or damaging property.

“There are peaceful ways to demonstrate. Violence and property destruction are unnecessary. Your voices can be heard without the need for violence,” Dickson asserted.

Representing Bayelsa West in the Senate, Dickson also urged governors and other leaders to actively engage with the youth nationwide to address their legitimate anger and frustrations.

“Governors and leaders throughout the nation should interact with the youth, understand their grievances, and work towards easing their concerns,” Dickson recommended.

“It is crucial that we take the time to listen to them. This will ensure that their perspectives are taken into account when addressing the underlying issues,” he added.
