Appeal for Serenity by Gov Mutfwang in Response to Gunmen’s Assault on Plateau Community

In light of the recent attack on the Chikam community in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau, Governor Caleb Mutfwang urged the state residents to maintain composure.

Offering reassurance, Governor Mutfwang, through his spokesperson, Gyang Bere, emphasized the government’s commitment to restoring peace in the affected area.

The unfortunate incident resulted in the loss of numerous lives, including a 200-level Computer Science student of Plateau University, Bokkos.

Expressing condemnation for the heinous act, the governor highlighted the concerted efforts of security agencies towards normalizing the situation.

“While deploring the atrocity, we remain resolute in our dedication to protecting the citizens of Plateau, particularly the students of our university,” Governor Mutfwang stated. He urged calmness in the aftermath and assured swift action against the culprits.

Furthermore, Governor Mutfwang emphasized the imperative of unity and collaboration among residents, community leaders, and security forces for enhanced safety measures.
