APC Zonal Coordinators Inaugurated by Ganduje

Dr. Abdulahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, has established a six-man committee consisting of six governors to oversee the party affairs in different geo-political zones.

Officially inaugurated by Ganduje at the APC national headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday, the six governors are Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Lagos), Bassey Otu (Cross River), AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq (Kwara), Uba Sani (Kaduna), and Mai Mala Buni (Yobe).

Following their oath-taking ceremony, the APC national chairman announced that the governors have been tasked with establishing periodic interactions with other members of the Progressive Governor’s Forum within their zones and the party leadership.

Sanwo-Olu will oversee the party’s activities in the South-west zone, while Uzodimma will be in charge of the South-East.

Otu will manage the South-South, whereas AbdulRazaq, Sani, and Buni will coordinate the affairs of the North-Central, North-West, and North-East regions respectively.

Ganduje emphasized, “We are focused on mobilizing public demand, setting party and government agendas, and informing the public about the government’s initiatives.

“To achieve this, our activities are regionally focused with governors providing oversight, motivation, and encouragement within their zones for swift progress.

“It is essential for the newly appointed coordinators to engage other governors to actively participate in party events within and beyond their zones, facilitate consultations on issues promoting party unity and progress, and support resource mobilization efforts.”

Responding on behalf of the governors, Uzodimma assured that they would diligently fulfill their roles for the party.

“We express gratitude for entrusting us with this responsibility. We are committed to meeting expectations and promoting inclusive party engagement at all levels, starting from the grassroots. The coordination reflects the party’s commitment to effective governance and collective participation.

“As members of the Progressive Governors Forum, we pledge to enhance government functionality, support inclusive programs, and strengthen the party’s governance practices,” he pledged.
