APC names Abiola Ajimobi as acting national Chairman after court suspended Oshiomole

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the appointment of former Oyo state governor, Abiola Ajimobi, as the acting National Chairman of the party, following the Court of Appeal’s decision to uphold the suspension of Adams Oshiomole.

The party made the announcement in a statement released by its National Publicity Secretary, Lanre Issa-Onilu, citing the provisions of the APC constitution as the basis for Ajimobi’s appointment.

According to the statement, the Deputy National Chairman (South), Sen. Abiola Ajimobi, will serve as the Party’s Acting National Chairman in line with the party’s legal department guidance and the constitutional provisions.

The appointment comes in the wake of the Court of Appeal’s affirmation of the suspension of Adams Oshiomole as the National Chairman of the APC.
