APC in Cross River Plans Solidarity March Against Protesters

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State, Alphonsus Eba, announced on Wednesday that the party has obtained police approval to conduct marches in all 196 political wards in the state in opposition to the nationwide protests.

Speaking to journalists at the APC Secretariat in Calabar, Eba stated that he will personally lead APC members in designated routes around Calabar for a period of 14 days.

He also mentioned that other party officials and registered members will participate in similar marches in their respective local governments and wards starting from August 1st.

According to Eba, “We are organizing a solidarity march to show support for the achievements of Mr. President and our admirable state governor, which have reversed negative trends and brought positive progress to Nigerians.”

He added, “For those who may be misled, security agencies will intervene and provide appropriate care, including psychiatric evaluation and placement in appropriate facilities.”
