Antigua Prime Minister extends invitation to ‘The Delborough Lagos’ owner for investment opportunities in his own country

A recent ‘jollof rice debate’ between former African Presidents John Dramani Mahama of Ghana and Ian Khama of Botswana took place at the esteemed luxury hotel, ‘The Delborough Lagos’. Shortly after, Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Browne, also had a memorable experience at the presidential lodge in Lagos Island.

During his visit to Nigeria, Browne and his wife, Her Excellency Mrs. Maria Vanessa Bird-Browne, were hosted at ‘The Delborough Lagos’ by Chief Alex Onyema, the Chairman/CEO of AirPeace Airline. Browne, impressed by the world-class hotel brought to life by investor Dr. Stanley Uzochukwu, extended an open invitation to replicate a similar establishment in Antigua and Barbuda.

At a Business Forum meeting with the Nigerian business community, Browne urged other Nigerian business leaders and investors to consider opportunities for mutual development in his country.

Chief Onyema, the convener of the business forum, shared in a statement on AirPeace’s official Instagram page the strategic importance of the meeting in fostering business discussions between the Nigerian and Antiguan governments.

Onyema stated, “Yesterday, we had a productive business forum with Prime Minister Gaston Browne of Antigua and Barbuda, who encouraged Nigeria’s business community to explore investment prospects in his country. This platform served as a valuable opportunity for both nations to engage in discussions for mutual development.”
