Heavyweight world champion, Anthony Joshua is currently in self-isolation as a precautionary measure after coming into contact with Prince Charles 16 days before the latter’s positive coronavirus test.
The 30-year-old IBF, WBA, and WBO heavyweight world champion had met the Prince of Wales and The Queen on 9 March at the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey.
On Wednesday morning, it was revealed that the Prince of Waleshas tested positive for coronavirus after experiencing mild symptoms, though he remains in good health otherwise.
In response to the news, an official spokesman has confirmed that Joshua has not exhibited any symptoms of coronavirus but has chosen to self-isolate at home in compliance with the government’s enforced lockdown.
“AJ is at home following government guidelines, he is fit and well,” a spokesman stated. “He wishes everyone affected a speedy recovery and extends a huge thank you to all the frontline key workers.”
