Anita Joseph, a prominent figure in Nollywood, has expressed her views on the practice of constantly calling one’s partner before visiting their house.
She recounted the experience of a friend who was dumped by her boyfriend for showing up unannounced, and asserted that individuals who rely on calling their partners every time they want to visit are essentially limiting themselves.
In her words:
“Someone told me today that her boyfriend broke up with her because she didn’t inform him before coming to his house. According to him, it was an invasion of privacy. She asked for my advice, and I told her the truth: if you have to call your man every time you need to go to his house, then you’re dating yourself. Use your tongue to count your teeth. Like how I hand out advice, please, have a merry Christmas.”
